Default Maintenance!

What are y'all maintenance schedules? How often do you change, clean, swop -( oil, filter, fluids whatever ) And what do you use?

Oil and oil filters I'm going to do between 3k and 5k miles. I will aim closer to 3k, but this is because I run WVO and it will catch anything early if I have a failure with an injector. Not such a big deal when running just diesel...

fuel filters, I usually end up doing about every 10k miles or a little less, recommended interval is 15k.

Tranny fluid I believe is supposed to be done every 30k or so... I've yet to do it since I had transmission issues at about the service intervals and end up getting new fluid under warranty.

Differentials and transfer case are 60k. I'm at about 75k and going to do mine ASAP. have the oil waiting to go in. I am using Amsoil 75w-140 for the rear with an 08 diff cover, and 75w-90 for the front.

Motor oil I use Rotella 15w-40 standard stuff since I change so often. Oil filter is motorcraft only, fuel filters I get from the international dealer.

i just changed my thinking and have just changed the oil to the Ford Super Duty oem brand
10 w 30....

I noticed a big difference in starting and performance increase.....

I could not believe the performance by changing to thinner oil....

Pick up is better ...and less noisy

i will go back to the Rotella in the spring....

Rotella sells a 5w-40 as well, but it's full synthetic.

Is full synthetic. Bad for powerstrokes?

No, it's great. Just means it costs more. Full synthetic will make these motors run better. I bet the motorcraft is at least a semi-synthetic oil. The injectors are fired off of the oil, so the better the oil the better it runs all around.

I do my oil every 5k on the nose. I run Mystic JT8 full synthetic 15W-40. I do fuel filters every two oil changes (10k). I do tranny every 25-30k and I also do the t-case and axles at the same time. I do a decent amount of towing, and a lot of dirt road driving so I try and do the axles early. Another thing I've done is clean the egr valve when I do fuel filters (every 10k) but now that I'm doing a swap I can forget about that!

I change my oil every 3000 miles. Fuel filters every other oil change.
