my powerstroke has 106667 miles on it, at 100k i deleted the egr . i am running 10-30 and rev x. in 50 degree wether i get alot of white smoke on start up, where ever i go there is always the eye watering smell of fuel and the diels shop here in town tells me there is nothing wrong with it, any help would be appriciated

 

Sounds like a bad injector to me. DO you have access to a scan tool to do a contribution test?

 

i can get ahold of a snapon lotus. if that will work, what is the procedure for that contribution test?

 

If it will work on a 6.0 it will be an option on the menu under KOER(Key On Engine Running)

 

thank you, ive been told buy ford, black cloud diesel and rapid diesel, to use 10-30. now im told to use synthetic 5-30, i tought it was a truck not a honda.

 

What 10-30? Make sure it's diesel oil! I use 15-40 and have used both synthetic and non. There is supposed to be some good 5w-40 synthetic diesel oil out now too. I wouldn't use 10-30 gas oil....

Sounds like a sticky injector to me too. Does it clear up once it's warmed up?

****, i lied still white smoke, and the morons at ford did a cylinder cut out test instead of a contribution test.

 

theres a feature that allows you to disable injectors 1 at a time. you will feel when a cylinder misfires.usually a lowcircuit code will pop up on KOER program.

 

i was thinkin with no egr can i get a tuner with an egr delete tune?
