DO you mean the starter engages and the engine starts to rotate and then stops? Have you tried removing the serpentine belt and see if anything changes?

I can't believe they can't figure it out. Could be a multitude of things, but I'd think they'd be able to scan it while cranking and figure it out. Though I guess it it just starts as normal for them then it may be hard to trace.

How many miles on the truck? No check engine lights? Any smoke coming from exhaust at all?

Would Like to add something. I've had the same symptoms I would like to add what fixed mine. One day coming from autozone buying a bottle of Kleen Diesel fuel treament ( good STUFF ) truck would turn over and over , but wouldn't fire. then eventually (after 30 mins ) of starting and then letting the starter cool (that i had to replace, haha ) it cranked slowly firing if you know what i mean. like an old tractor. got it home, long time to start again, next day. no start. nothing. looked everywhere, all sensors were good. low oil pressure good ( pressure gauge on dash while starting ) so i had to tow it to the dealer ( sshhh ) air pressure test on the injectors and #1 injector's top o-rings were busted, not allowing enough pressure to buil up to crank it. so before replacing all this stuff HPOP, ICP sensors, and still come out hard/no starts, just go get a diagnostic done. I replaced the injector , yes stupid 6.0's have to replace the injector instead of o-ring kit, Now starts like a new truck Idles like its not even running and better fuel mileage. Hope this helps and sorry it's so long. I'm a newbie on here.

You can definitely replace o-rings on the injectors. Who told you, you needed a new one? That is false. I believe you can even use o-rings from a 7.3 for the job too.

fcoure the dealership told me this. I will check on it tomorrow with another diesel tech and double check. no worries if so. Cause the manager of the mechanics is the one who told me this and There is no denieing that i ask him that and ofcourse thats what i would have wanted instead of replacing the whole thing. But what if it wasn't the lower part of the injector. it was the upper assembly. if the o-ring on it goes instead of the typical 3 on the bottom. then don't you have to replace it ? thanks

Thanks for all the help guys just fixed the prob. It was the o ring on the dummy plugs letting oil through and losing pressure.
