Default FICM Replaced

After I had my ficm replaced the Bully dog pmt seems to not switch between stock to preformance and extreme. Iuse to hear it idle down when I switched it between stock and tow and now it doesn't idle down what could this mean?

If you didnt return the truck back to stock before you took it in to get serviced they PMT itself wont reload or change anything in your truck because the dealership probably reflashed your truck so now when you plug the PMT in it thinks it is in another vehicle. They have it set up like that so you cant go around loading the tune into a buch of different vehicles.

If you call Bullydog tech line 1-866-285-5936 they can help you through some steps to reset the PMT and get running again. This is assuming you didnt put your truck back to stock before you took it in.

I just replaced my FICM as well, but I DID return the truck back to stock before I took it in and took the programmer out. Now when I try to load the tune I get an 'UNRECOGNIZED PARTS' message when I try to install the PMT. I'm gonna call them tomorrow when I'm off work and try and get it figured out. I'll let you know how I make out.

But if you didnt return back to stock thats an easy fix I did it before and they had me up and running in a few mins.

Good Luck

You may have to have the software in your programmer updated - the programmer may not recognize the latest & greatest Ford software - the flash is very new, and Bully Dog may not have it.

We see this a lot on 6.4 programmers.

Hey sorry took me so long to get back. Havent been near the computer since.

But I called Bullydog on Fri and told them my issues and he had several versions of the latest software version which i think is 1.01.6 or 1.06.1..... one of those two anyway but any way he sent a version 'b' or something and I loaded it up and it all worked just fine.

I always have good luck just calling them and talkin directly with them, they are always good and stay on the line with you till you have your truck running. It usually takes 10 or 15mins on hold but, they've always been able to fix me up.
