Whats up DB, I have been looking at buying an 05 excursion for some time now. I found one that looked to be in decent shape guy told me it had just had the EGR deleted, new oil cooler trans rebuilt and all 8 injectors replaced. All seemed great it ran and shifted like any other well maintained 6.0. I took down the vin and ran a car fax on it when i got home. The report says it has had 5 sets of injectors put in at various mile/service. This sounds a little weird and wanted a few opinions as to what might be going on with this thing.

 

it was most likely 1 injector at a time, Ford won't replace all the injectors at once unless you pay the whole bill and it's not warranty

 

I'll call the ford dealer it was done at and ask them what was going on. It just looks a bit sketchy to have injectors replaced so many times even if one at a time. With only 170k on the truck i would figure it wouldn't have any injector issues. But I have seen crazier things.
