Default surging problem

hey guys im having some trouble with my truck (05 f350) surging at stop- lights. it revs up and down just up to around 1k and back to idle or sometimes lower. so i pulled the egr out and cleaned it off and cleaned down inside the manifold. put it back in and it was still surging, at one point it had no power when i took off. so i disconected the plug on the egr to see if that made a difference, and it didnt. its throwing a code p0611 (fuel injector control module performance). i dont know how to go about that, if there is a sensor some where? thanks in andvance for the help.

could the turbo vanes be sticking and causing this?

I have that code as well on my truck and about the only thing you can do is replace the module, it seems to have popped up on alot of these trucks. As for the surging I'd look into replacing the fuel filters right away if you havent already. Both my dad and my gf's dad were having surging and loss of power and I relplaced their fuel filters and everything was fine. Also maybe check out your airfilter as well.

Check out those 3 filters first and replace em if you havent lately and than look at the injector module. I have the injector code too and no surging or power or mileage problems what so ever....... yet

There is so much chain reaction crap on a 6.0 anymore...

Drives me insane. FICM dies. Guy drives the truck with weak FICM and carbons the hell out of the turbo - tech changes FICM, about 2 - 3 days later, the VGT seizes up on the turbo. It builds high boost and wipes the EBP sensor and or head gaskets out.

One part after another....bang....bang....bang...bang....bang.... .....bang. LOL

yeah it was at the dealer all last week, the tech couldnt get it to act up so the day after i pick it up, it starts playing games. sometimes it feels like its taking the turbo longer than usuall to spool up. i just had the ford "egr, turbo clean out"

keep your batteries fully charged and make sure the alternator is good with no bad diodes and that extends the life of your FICM...
