I have a 06 F350 with a edge platinum and around december it started having a hard time shifting when it's cold. The edge isn't throwing any codes so I'm lost... When you first start it up, the engine will hold out til it redlines then it shifts real hard. It does this until the engine warms up but once it sits for an hour or so, the tranny goes back to the hard shift.

Have you tried seeing how it does when you take the Edge off?

I haven't. I'll have to try that when I get home this afternoon.

Okay, I took the edge off and it now accelerates longer into the redline and the shifts are really hard now. Maybe the tranny is just shot
