Default Advice on buying 6.0

Thinking about buying a 2004 F250 crew cab 4x4 6.0L with 259,000 automatic and wanting to know pros and cons on this truck/ drivetrain. It's had the intake gaskets, head gaskets and head studs replaced. Also the egr delete. Also new lockouts installed. Is worth paying 8500 or let it go.

if paint is good and interior is good then it is worth it, these trucks sell for that $$ with blown motors.

Ok what is the common mileage a need to worry about a major rebuild cause this will be bought for my only wheels. Not sure how vehicle was treated but looks good with two spots of rust on fender well. I haven't heard it running either

I wouldn't buy it... I bought my 6.0 with 200,000 miles and it had nothing but problems. Not saying that every 6.0 is bad just my opinion

If you buy it i would have a couple grand extra just in case something goes wrong. Ones all the 6.0 problems are fixed they are better than cummins and duramaxs for sure.
