I'm 6'0" and 220lbs, I can ride in it comfortably and still fit an adult behind me easily, and I bought a 2002, the newer one's are even roomier. The passats are quite comfortable.

You'd be surprised. You might be a little tight in the older body styles, but the newer one's you'd be fine. Try sitting in one sometime. I have plenty of room to move my seat back even farther than where I sit in my 02. If you're ever over this way give me a hollar!
