You should be able to pick up a stock airbox from one of the boards, though I'm with you, why bother changing it I guess. If I was offroading at all, the stock box would be back on mine for sure.

Yes, you can get gauges to watch oil and coolant temp, they need to be monitored together. If the spread between them becomes more than about 15*, it's time to do an oil cooler. Clogged oil coolers are really what lead to blown EGR coolers and blown headgaskets.

$400 would be a single injector bud. They are not cheap. There's no set of 8 injectors anywhere for a 6.0 for $400.

Here's pricing for SINGLE injectors: http://www.rivercitydiesel.com/index...mart&Itemid=54

It's $270 for a "new" Ford injector through RCD. There is a $180 core charge on top of that. If you want 8 "new" injectors built into bigger sticks, check the pricing on that here: http://www.rivercitydiesel.com/index...mart&Itemid=54

Starts at about $3500 and goes up from there. The problem is there is NO aftermarket injector for the 6.0. None. We have Ford injectors, and then a bunch of rebuilt Ford injectors. Even Ford doesn't make new one's anymore, they're ALL remains at this point. You can have 8 built from the set in your truck but chances are it wont come with any warranties.

If I come across a stock I may just pick it up.

Is there a way to clean out the oil cooler at home?

Yea I realized that last night but didn't want to believe it, I had no clue they were that expensive. It's just dawning on me how expensive this actually is, then again I did say long slow build.

People have tried flushing the oil cooler out, with it still in the truck by using the fumoto drain valves meant for the oil pans, and threading them into the block where the coolant drains. I've seen one case where he flushed both directions to clean it out and it did bring oil and coolant temps back into normal ranges, but every single case of this I've seen is a very SHORT term fix. Seems like once they've clogged they're super prone to doing it again.

@ $250... it's cheap insurance to rebuild it if it's clogged.
