Default Early 94 7.3 Turbo Diesel

why wont my truck pull a hill ? it acts like a dog on diesel and on veggie fuel.....should I turn up the IPump a few flats or do I have to wait until I open the exhaust 4 inches at the same time?......and should I be driving it around with the overdrive swich off or on ? im new to diesels but I love my extra cabin 4x4 I just wish it had more power ! would putting a BANKS Impeller on the turbo do much ?

Ok, sounds like I got a laundry list to report back on give me some time though I am a wildland firefighter in southern cali so I have been working a lot during these red flag warnings with high winds and low humidity.
Right now the truck is in the shop getting a K & N cold air induction set up and I do not know what kind of boost I am getting from the turbo, how do I check that ?
I also dont know the fuel pressure so how do I check that ?
I did have to rebuild the IP as the guy that installed my Veggi system cut the steel fuel ines with a hack saw and send metal shavings up to the pump which I think sheared the IP shaft, does that sound right because that is going to be my arguement in small claims for the repairs to that !
Could it be time for injectors ? and No white smoke, it actually doesnt smoke at all on diesel or veggie oil.

coulda trashed the pump if the guy did a hack job and didnt clean the lines but keep in mind dirty veggie oil can cause problems too. but shavings wouldnt cause a shaft to break unless it was OMG blown up???
GET SOME GAUGES! boost and pyro for sure you can install a fuel pressure gauge inline before the injection pump.
you shouldnt do more than (in the relm of 15PSI boost) i think... on your IDI head gaskets start to blow.

was it running good then just become a pig? hows your fuel -filter- CHECK THAT
normally economy goes to hell when injectors go bad. bunches of white smoke and nonsence at start-up
