just recently bought my first diesel truck, 95 6.5 turbo diesel gmc. long story short it developed valve train noise, so I decided to pull it and rebuild since there is 220k on it, or just do a re-ring if all looks well. im a big turbo car guy but don't know much about diesels. I have a meth kit im throwing on so I can delete the egr. can I delete the vac pump? is the egr in the center of the intake manifold? is there anything else I can delete to simplify my engine bay? suggestions on parts for rebuild, im doing arp studs, hv oil and water pump.
