7.3 IDI boost gauge install?

my buddy has a 7.3 idi and he wants to install a boost gauge and we were wondering where exactly it needs to placed to read the boost pressure.

pictures or diagrams would be great.

what turbo setup does he have? if it is the stock ATS setup, in the intake horn where the turbo blows into (looks like a snail shell) there should be a little 1/8 inch pipe plug in it. remove that and install gauge there.
