Default 93 7.3 cutting off

Hi guys this is my first post, my brother inlaw has a 93 f 350 that doesn't get run much. It has developed a probem, it starts fine but whenever he slows down and the engine cuts off, it restarts fine and will run fine until he slows down again, any suggestions.

sounds to me like the timing on the ip is off, i had a truck that did the exact same thing. there are a few people on here that can deffinetly help you on how to adjust the timing correctly if that is indeed the problem.

to time the pump u will need to either find someone with a diesel timing meter or a shop with one. where are u located?

does it start easy after sitting overnight?

I am in eastern NC and the truck starts fine at any time, even after it shuts off while driving

Default pump shut off

It wouldn't be something simple like a bad electrical connection to ip solinoid would it when engine goes to idle the engine viberation changes and pump solinoid shorts out or something like that.
just a thought
