Hey now easy on the dirty max . I have an 07 3/4 crew dirty max and I loaded it with 2000# in the bed and 6000 on a trailer + 2000# trailer and laughed at a few empty fords and gas burnin chevs as i passed. Although i dont feel it can hold up to that abuse too often unlike the others in certain trim can but it pulls like a tractor when i tell it too. Anyhow i have an 87 1ton with a 6.9 and the c6 auto that i want to convert to a manual or at least overdrive of some sort. It kills me in fuel and not being able to go any faster than 73 mph drives me insane LOL. What auto choices do i have and what does it take to make them work with the old 6.9? I would much rather put in a five speed if all i have to do is find a donor truck for parts for the right price. Trying to do this right but as cheap as possable.

E4OD and it is a electronic controlled tranny so you would need the computer from the doner
truck or use a stand alone computer from BAUMANN Baumann Electronic Controls Home Page
