1992 f250 7.3 wont start
Okay now I have put a eletric fuel pump on the line by the machanical pump and it won't pull fuel 1 tank is full and the other has a quater. I also put it in line where the tank switch is and it won't pull any. Anyone have suggestion what that could be?
When I unplug the switch valve it goes past full then if I plug it in it shows that the front has just under full and the rear has a 1/4. So iit acts like it is. Although the electric plug did have diesel in in it when I unpluged it.
get a clean bucket, put a few gallons of diesel in it. put suction hose off electric pump into bucket. bleed system. if it starts, then the issue is with either the fuel sending units or the selector valve for the tanks.
autozone sells the fuel tank selector valve. sending units might be dealer item. i can not find any online. Early Bronco Restoration Full Size Bronco Restoration Classic Ford Bronco Parts For Sale has some sending units, but they do not state if they are diesel.
could also try LMC truck.

I got it going, I replaced the fuel pump, still nothing so I replaced the fuel filter and started up, the switch valve is still bad I need to replace it, runs and stuff but if I turn it off and turn it back over it sucks air in so I have to push the pedal for a lil bit. Also reads that both tanks are way past full. Thanks for all the help, I bought this truck not running and havnt worked on a diesel before this one.
