Can I put a 2000 7.3L powerstroke turbo on my 1993 7.3L idi?

I agree with dortiz, it does have that wow factor. You'd just have to limit boost level. I'd bet a psd turbo will spool up better and react better that the older tech ones that were made for IDI's. And if you get the cooler hooked up that would help a bunch with power and temps. I personally know I couldn't keep my foot out if it and would acquire too many tickets. I have that trouble just driving my wife's '03 psd with a hypermax programmer on it and cold air.

Yeah , you could do it ... need a blow off valve , piping, etc ... but seroiusly ... better off with a power choke .... if you have to ...LOL....
I personally would swap a 12V cummins in it and then you would have one real nice truck that was easy to work on .... and cheeper by far ...MY OPINION of course...

Yea I used to drive my '03 with no tailgate so I would keep it slow, I always seem to have something in the bed. That way I was always worried about it flying out. I was thinking a 12V when my IDI gives up, but with a salvage IP she's running like new. And we're coming up in 380,000. I may just rebuild this motor, I like speed but I'll save it for my Harley. This sucker just keeps going, how many mile can guys get out a 12V?

I was looking into a 4bt for my CJ that we had, and Cali Air Resource Board(CARB) said if it wasn't an option in your vehicle, or from the same weight class you can't put it in. And it had to be the same model year or newer. So I started thinking 6.2 or 6.5 GM. but then we decided to trade it for my IDI.
