Have you replaced the return line caps, lines, and the o rings? That can cause an air intrusion, and fuel will leak back so you will have to bleed the lines

My truck had the same issue, and I use autolite plugs, after about 200 cold starts I pulled my plugs, and inspected along with test. No swelling in them what-so-ever. And tested out perfect, put them back in and had the same problem. Changed out my return lines, fittings and orings, then replaced my fuel filter with a single piece to get rid of the dual piece with the separator and viola no more cold start issue haha Took about half a crank in the morning to start up until my IP took a s**t on me about a month ago, now I'm fixing everything that I need on it while I pile up all the parts I want.

Default 7.3 cold start

Hey,
I would look at the injectors. If you are running 15/40 in cold climates, older injectors have a tough time until the oil heats up and thins out. Dump the oil and filter then use 5/40 synthetic Rotella. That should buy you some time. New injectors are big bucks

IDI injectors are about $35 a piece, just bought my whole set for less than $180
