What is this gob of wires?!
I bought a 92 F350 7.3 IDI and have finally gotten it to where it runs consistently. I initially had trouble with the E4OD not shifting out of first sometimes. The problem was remedied by draining out over 2 quarts of new ATF that the previous owner had overfilled. I was driving around today and this mess fell out from under the dash on the driver side. I have no clue what it is as all of the wires look to be not original. Hopefully the pictures will shed some light. The only things that seem to be an issue with the truck currently are the "Rear ABS" light is on and I installed some LED tail lights on the flatbed that stay on the dim setting as if the lights were on (even though I don't have the lights on.) Not sure if this switch or relay would have anything to do with either of these.
Also, there is an installed toggle switch that this thing is wired to, if that helps any. I have tried flipping the toggle switch and haven't noticed it doing anything.

it looks like an old school relay, may have been installed to run something like a set of offroad lights or an emergency beacon, the wires connected to it (all red w/spade fittings) are not stock, so its definitely not factory. Find the ones w/o power to them and trace them . . .that should lead you to whatever its supposed to be turning on.
