Default wanna put stacks on my rig...but?

i wanna put twin stacks on my truck i got a 86 F-250 with a 6.9 idi...now i all way been a fan of how a diesel sounds but if i put twin stacks on it would it sound any different from a truck with a turbo cause my truck came with out a tubo? can i get some help or comments on this? i was thinking stright 4 inch pipe in to a 6 or 7 inch stack? iam just woundering befor i buy them????

It will have a more throaty gas sound if you do it the difference with the turbo is that beautiful whistle

yeah thats what i kinda figured so i dont think it would sound good at all?

I wouldn't say not at all it will definitely make a difference. But I would do it anyways if your running stock pipes. And get a new down pipe.

I have a 85 f250 with 6.9 non turbo..the previous owner put dual exhaust with glasspacks on and it sounds rele nice..im also thinking about stacks for mine though

yeah well if i ru the twin stacks on it like i planed to then iam gonna change the pip to a 4 1/2 inch pipe and run it up to a 6 or 7 inch stack...maybe bigger and with my nieghbor being a cop...i would do it just to **** him off

he flat hates DIESILS HAHAHA even more on a COLD morning Cause my nieghbor behind me,to my left and on the other side of the cop...we all got diesels and there all strieght piped

I have a 90 7.3 non turbo and its 5" and duel stacked and it sounds great and looks good to.

without a turbo its going to be crazy loud and it will not sound like a diesel truck more like a gasser.

I have a 4" exhaust ... dynomax and its a real nice .... throaty but not aggrivating to be inside while driving..... you minght also think about a large single .... but I'm also thinking about using 2" header wrap to reduce some of the incab noise ....
