It will have a more throaty gas sound if you do it the difference with the turbo is that beautiful whistle

I wouldn't say not at all it will definitely make a difference. But I would do it anyways if your running stock pipes. And get a new down pipe.

I have a 85 f250 with 6.9 non turbo..the previous owner put dual exhaust with glasspacks on and it sounds rele nice..im also thinking about stacks for mine though:humm:

yeah well if i ru the twin stacks on it like i planed to then iam gonna change the pip to a 4 1/2 inch pipe and run it up to a 6 or 7 inch stack...maybe bigger :rocking: and with my nieghbor being a cop...i would do it just to piss him off :bat:

without a turbo its going to be crazy loud and it will not sound like a diesel truck more like a gasser.

I have a 4" exhaust ... dynomax and its a real nice .... throaty but not aggrivating to be inside while driving..... you minght also think about a large single .... but I'm also thinking about using 2" header wrap to reduce some of the incab noise ....:tu:
