Well you better find a way to get it in your budget... A 241 rebuild is about $1K, and you'll need a new case to go with it.

yep i know that already if it was in the summer season i could have boughten it already but with christmas the money wasnt all there

found the tag in the road were the case broke for some reason it is a 241 DLD, ratio 272, tag number 52105370. why would there be a 241 dld not a 241 dhd on a cummins, what is the difference

alot of it has to do with the spline count and the thickness of the gears inside the case. the DHDs are a little stronger then the DLDs and can usually survive a long time even with moderate mods done to the truck

I was told just swap the input shaft from the DLD over to the DHD

if thats what ya want I can get a rebuilt one to you next day cheap ..........I will meet ya half way..........PM me
