$25 Fuel Pressure Gauge

$25 Fuel Pressure Gauge
The other day I was needing to test my fuel pressure and couldn't cough up the cash for a permanent FP gauge, so this is what I came up with...
Materials:
1/4" x 10' tubing $1.89
Pressure Gauge $8.20
1/8" brass nipple $1.85
2 reducing couplers 1/4" x 1/8" $2.36/each
2 Hose barb adapters 3/16" x 1/4" MIP $2.23/each
Teflon tape $.99
I found all of this on the plumbing aisle at Home Depot.
I started by putting all the brass fittings together
I left the gauge off so I could purge the line before putting it on
Here is the installation under the hood, I bumped the starter and ran the lift pump to get rid of the air before adding the pressure gauge
I tested the gauge before running it through the firewall and into the cab. I mounted it with some heavy duty double sided stuff from my buddy's shop
And there it is. I am using this temporarily to monitor my fuel pressure under normal operating conditions, I've been having some LP issues come to find out I know the best place to test fuel pressure is at the VP44 itself but this gives me at least some idea. If there are any improvements I can do to make this type of setup better please let me know

Masterful install.
I would install a needle valve right off the fuel filter housing to keep your guage from getting damaged. Start the truck with the valve completely closed and then slowly open it until you get a steady/smooth reading on the guage. Any more, and the guage will fluctuate.
Again, nice work.
