Plow snow in the winter with 2 blades, do a little mowing in the summer. Both as side jobs to working at Fred Ex at night on Linehaul.

I just need a good reason to crank it up... money is just a plus...

Being in a band, sometimes we have to set up on a flatbed trailer... Maybe get a flatbed for next to nothing, re-deck it or repair it, and rent it out during local events and parades, etc... Charge flat rate and so much per mile type thing... not a big investment, not a big money maker either...

This is also one way to show off the truck and the band get's the ladies , trust me (i'm the drummer)!!!

I'm the same way. Heck I've stopped to help ladies (or good lookin girls ) change flats before, and they usually try to pay me, but I just cant take it.

Bought my own gooseneck and truck and started hauling non fat dry milk for the government to farmers, which ended up selling it to others who needed it hauled somewhere else. Each state has these warehouses and the government is trying to make jobs, so they will take product from MN to CA and haul the same product from CA back to MN.

I would haul NFDM from MN to CO and then haul Hyster forklifts back to MN from CO and drop them off anywhere in between they needed them at $75 a stop minimum.

haul smal peices of heavy equipment (bobcats ect) you dont need a gooseneck trailor (well not in nj) we havea bunch of little companies with 2 bobcats a few mini excavators and not truck or trailor. alls you do is go in the office and see how much someone chaarges to haul the equipment and try to beat their price.

Just nailed down a decent Kaufman rampdeck 2 car trailer for my old '91 flat bed 1 ton to pull.
Now I need to go West and pick up a couple of trucks for parts.

Should be a fun trip getting my own stuff for once.

Mark.

I knew a guy in Cheyenne that hauled medical supplies from Denver to Casper about 3 times a week, kind of a hotshot thing.
Sorry, don't know how he got started.

I know a guy with a 1 ton and 3 car trailer that isn't doing too good. I imagine no contacts and what could be percieved as a "flooded market" here in the PNW.

I know another guy with a flatbed and a 1 ton that was able to quit his day job. He's been hauling 3yrs now, started by word of mouth.

BTW, I kinda got a chuckle that a guy from Ks would tell a guy from the Olympic Pen about logging. Not looking to start anything, just thought it was kinda funny
