How to make a living with your diesel pickup....

Okay, we all love having trucks we can do anything with (except park anywhere close to the store), but how many of us have figured out a way to make a living with our trucks?

So, if you know of a way to make a living with your diesel pickup, let us know. Try to include a little "how to" on how to get started.

I, for one, have been trying to figure out how to get started transporting 5th wheel trailers, but have no idea how to get started. Scrapping metals isn't very profitable unless you have a big trailer.

It's called meeting teenagers with Toyota pickup trucks, finding where they go "muddin" and just wait.. ;) You'll make ya some cash.

Hell if you're gonna go that route, buy a swampy pasture and invite them over. Offer to sell 'em beer, too. (kidding){well, unless they're hot 19 yr. old chicks:tu:}

I have a hard time charging people for helping them get unstuck, unless they were just being retarded. I was raised right, I guess. :w2:

I have learned to just let your friends know that you have a trailer and let them find you jobs I have moved people, cars, heavy equipment, what ever will fit on the trailer i will haul and it pays off:tu:

If you want to transport RV's you can make some cash, but the bottom line net income is not really there. It is a career best suited for retired folks, or someone who either has supplemental income and wants to see the country, or doesn't mind making just enough to cover expenses and live out of their truck.

Horizon Transport is one of the better ones, rumor has it.....most of the companies run out of the Terre Haute, In area.

These days unless you're looking for just a couple bucks here & there it is hard to make decent money without expensive commerical carrier insurance, bonding, and permits....well, doing it the right (legal) way anyhow.
