2000 f250 5.4l conversion to a 6.0l powerstroke
so im getting a 6.0 powerstroke for free, (cause it dont run) and im going to rebuild it, but i have no idea if it will hook right up to the wiring harness and the boost gauges for the turbo. So i need to know what i have to buy to hook it up...? Thanks

Going to be a wiring nightmare! Also going to need a 6.0. PCM, idm, throttle pedel, tranny, intercooler and probably much, much more. Now if you can get the whole truck it would make it much "easier". You could get the 6.0, sell it and buy a 5.9 cummins that would be a much more doable swap. But it would be interesting to see ya do it!

I have done this... The 6.0 will bolt right in the existing motor mount holes.. you will need to shorten the drive shaft about an inch, you will need a new fuel pump I used a fass, you will need a intercooler and piping but it will all bolt up the holes are their.. i used a 5r110 transmission thats the easy thing to do But a 4r100 out of a gas rig not a diesel will bolt up but you would need a stand alone controller, the hardest part is going to be the wiring I ended up pulling the dash and wiring in a harness out of a 6.0 truck and you will need a fuel pedal out of a 6.0 truck... If I can help let me know
