I've been working on mine (not nearly enough though) for a while now.
Mine would be a 1st gen S10 4x4 longbed stretched with an extended cab added complete with locked 1 ton axles suspended with medium duty air bags all the way around so it will support anything and ride like a Caddy doin' it. Throw in twin transfer cases for the double low range and 38" tires to school the Jeeps in the rocks on the weekends. Then add an LLY/Allison and a ton of frame work to the mix. Oh, and lots and lots of wire chasing.....
I have had everything but the Duramax/Allison portion of the build done for a while and drove it a lot with a '94 Detroit/4L80E in it, which was fine, I just wasn't happy with fine.
