HHelp-blowing blueish smoke-no power,5.9,01'
Cummins 5.9 , 2001 w/ low miles of 30k. Upon starting...blows blueish smoke when hit accelerator, will idle fine, won't go over 25mph after warming up for 20-30 mins., craps out, then suddenly-off we go...but not like before this issue started. I put it to bed for winter in storage last Oct., restarted in Jan. due to commuter broke down, but it had gelled summer fuel. Cut it with Kerosene & Diesel 911 additives. Went through 3 tanks of gas, and each time within 1/2 mi. of fueling station, problem would begin again. Each time added additives & warmed up forever - same issues. Parked it - unreliable; Drained all fuel & changed fuel filter -no improvement. Took it to Dodge dealer - said it was the Turbo. $1400 later; They Called to say Same problem still exists...must be lift fuel pump; They put in a tank fuel pump, said it was fixed; Same exact problem existed when I left the shop - obviously they have both competency & ethical issues. I can't find an independent Cummins mechanic up here in Anchorage, AK. Totally frustrated w/dealership & a truck that wont run.
Truck only used to go camping in summers up here, except for last winter's issue with POV. [B] Any assistance in helping me get this solved would be GREATLY appreciated!

Excessive fuel will cause blue smoke...a cracked manifold... the VP44 is overfueling slightly...
