95 dodge 12v white smoke breaks up
By guys I'm Adam been around here for awhile but now I need some help. I just recently bought a 95 dodge 2500 12v 5speed 4x4 cummins, she's a rclb and has 164k on her. The truck was 100% stock when I bought it and was never touched so when it was under powered when I drove it I figured it was because it was stock. but when I put my 4" straight pipe to 7" bull hauler And a hx40 turbo off my 24v and slide the plate and housing I found that she wouldn't spool and had no power. When I would rev it in nuetral at 2k she would start blowing alot of white smoke and breaking up sPitting and sputtering bad and while driving had no power and wouldn't really spool unless I had the throttle all the way to the floor. So in my trouble shooting iv found the auctions rubber lines were dry rotted, the lift pump was leaking out of a crack I found in it, the hose between the pre filter and the lift pump was rotted , the pre filter and main filter were clogged, after testing the injectors they were dripping instead of a clean spray and the ofv was worn out. So I have replace the lift pump, all the rubber suction lines and the rubber elbow between the pre filter and the lift pump, I deleted the fuel heater and cleaned the pre filter, changed the fuel filter, changed the ofv, and put a set of 100hp jammer injectors in. Well the truck has a bunch more power and runs better but still breaks up bad starting at 2250 blowing white and spitting and sputtering in neutral and second and third and when I'd push it to full throttle it would clean up but still under powered and from what I see there is still an air leak somewhere but Idk where else to go now or check I'm about to pull my hair out . Timing is 100% stock too and at idle she runs perfect and starts perfectly It just starts at 2k and up so what ya think I'm trying to get this thing running perfect so I don't have to worry about it anymore. So guys lemme know what ya think I'd really appreciate it to have my new baby running right.

Check fuel pressure, if its good you could have slipped timing. But the first step with a 12v white smoke, popping and low power is fuel pressure. Could also be injector issue.

How could it possibly have low fuel pressure with a brand new lift pump filters and all the suction lines and a new ofv also the injectors are brand new too the old ones were horrible but like I said they were just replaced two days ago.

Lol didn't see you put a new overflow valve in it.... wasn't all that just throwing parts at it without having an initial pressure reading? Timing may play a big issue for you, I would also consider having the injectors freshend up. Most likely between those two you'll fix your problem.

Each part was tested and was bad I'm not gonna spend all Tht money hoping it is what was wrong with it and again like unsaid the injectors are brand new as of 2 days ago I had low pressure before changing the filters then the pump that fixed that issue along with the ofv. All these parts needed to be replaced as they were all failing/failed but they aren't the aol route of the problem. I'm gonna check timing like u said it really is looking like it has slipped.

check the fuel pressure, if that is ok, check compression, sometime white smoke does not mean timing is bad, it also can be injectors, or injector is bad and broken or bad rings, bent or broken valves, and your bores are glazed some much that your rings are no longer doing their job.
It makes it allot easier to diagnose a problem if you can do some tiny steps.
1 what is vehicle doing.
2 is it smoking out the tail pipe, if yes, what color.
Compression checks, compression checks, compression checks. These tools are fairly cheap and are really easy to do (they tell a lot)
Fuel pressure check.
Remember, we are not at your truck, and throwing parts at it, only sometime works.
hope this helps.
