i have a 2000 dodge 2500 that i was driving and it shut down like it was outta diesel i pulled the fuel line off my air dog bumped the key diesel poured out like it should i took off #1 injector line bumped it again diesel was coming out and put it back on but still didnt start then sprayed starting fluid in the air intake and it tried to start but it didnt so i have no clue what it could be so if anyone could help me out please do

No I don't have fog lights? And also I have no clue how to know if the vp died

 

well see if you can find another relay to swap out with the fuel sys. relay in your underhod fuse box. then crack your injector lines and see what happens. Usually I use the fog lamp relay for the swap, should be another one under there you can use

 

That's just what it sounds like to me. Pulling codes will tell the story.

 

pull codes - 3 key cycles

p0216 code - need new vp44

no codes - check fuel pressure from lift pump

no pressure - check relay

good relay - change lift pump

low pressure - change filter bleed all 6 lines

new filter low pressure - change lift pump bleed all 6 lines

if you only get fuel out of 3 lines - new vp44 likly

if it still dosnt start then your probably going to need a new vp44

 

get a 12 valve
