They are on the pressure side of the pump at the filter housing, so I doubt they would suck any air. They would just leak.

The shop called and told me to come get my truck. They said it is still working fine and no codes. So I started heading home. I drove abot 15 miles and it started acting up again so I took it back to show them. When I got there it was working good again. As we were standing around talking it started to surge . He hooked his computer up and the pressure from the oil pump would fluctuate between 475-575 psi at 1200 rpm. Then when you would step on it , it would smooth out. But only 700 psi. He is going to hook a gauge up to the pump to check the pressure at the pump with the oil lines dead ended. Hopefully we found out the problem. I want to go ice fishing next week... Talk to you all later.

hehe, get one of those new stealth hpops and let everyone know how it runs hehehehe

good thing is you may have found the problem - now just depends on what ya wanna do to rectify it cause you have lots of options with HPOPS when it comes to either aftermarket or used or reman or new

The shop called and told me my truck was done. So we raced into the city to pick it up and when we got there they told me as it was running out side that the high pressure fuel line blew. If it is not one thing it's another.

I was on holidays and was planning on going up to the hunting shack with my dad to do some ice fishing. I guess it will have to be another time.

I have no idea? It was the line on the engine that feeds one side of the motor. It is the rubber hydralic type of line. Maybe it was weathered, or maybe it was damaged a bit or something. They said it split about a foot long or so.

Well, I got to the shop just as they were closing. The boss was already gone and the two guys that were there were pretty green. They said they would see if they could get one made or if they would have to order one in. I don't think it should take longer than tommorrow. But who knows. Do you have any idea what one is worth$ ?

I have no idea bud, but I'd bet they could get one made if they found the right place -- heck, Im fixing to buy a HPX and fuel system crossover that sounds just like that fuel line and for 28" is somewhere around $36 bucks to make or so...

I could be totally wrong though... definately let us know how it turns out..

you might also shop around www.powerstrokepartsusa.com or www.powerstrokeshop.com and see if they carry the replacements to see what the price would be so you can be prepared when you return to pick up your truck
