24v hard start hot but not cold

they replaced the stock style lift pump with the in tank style but its still mounted on the side of the block, they went from the carter type to the cylindrical in tank style and i think the fuel is bleeding back through the pump anyone else ever have this problem?

that sounds like possibly a airtex pump like from oreillys or other parts stores are selling, we have been seeing LOTS of problems with those pumps causing hard starts, i would change the lift pump back to a stock style carter and see if the problem go's away or switch to an aftermarket pump

its looks a lot like an airtex pump like for a chevrolet, but its mounted on the block where the old carter style pump was mounted. the truck has pressure cold because the pump runs a lil when you turn the key on with the engine cold, but when the engine is warm the pump does not run when the key is turned on, and if you crank the engine and make the pump run like your bleeding out air then immediately go back to crank it it fires, but it takes only 30 sec after key off for the pressure to bleed to 0 psi.
