Default 99 Powerstroke CCT - Can't Complete Test

Have 99 7.3L Powerstroke that barely idles and makes vertually no power until it finally spools up to 1500 RPM then makes enough to drive.

Am new with Auto Enginuity but ran Buzz Test and all 8 injectors buzz. Started CCT test and engine immediately dies at beginning of cycle from what seems to be the first cylinder the system is dropping as part of test. If I raise idle at part throttle the system detects "throttle movement" and quits cycle as an error.

Is this common? How can I get results from CCT if engine dies?

How long does the typical CCT test take the system to complete?

Any help appreciated!

Thanks,
Scott

Oil temp has to be above 165* or the test will not start... AC off, Parking brake set...

Some PCM's are more by the book, I dont have to set my parking brake, but the oil temp must be up.

I was able to get system to start the test, but as soon as it starts the test and starts to drop the first cylinder (or that appears to be what the test is doing) the engine will die so the test stops. I had engine running for awhile to get to proper temps for testing.

Engine idles rough to begin with so when CCT drops the first cylinder it dies. System shows test is running. Is that a normal process for CCT to drop cylinders? If so, how do you keep engine running to get to end of test?

Thanks for your help!

Scott

Any other ideas how to keep engine running while CCT starts to drop cylinders.

If the CCT test kills the engine on the first cylinder test you have a serious problem because you should be able to pull the harness off one bank killing 4 cylinders and the engine will still run although badly. It almost sounds like you are already running on only 4 cylinders and when it tries to kill one for the test it is then running on 3 and can't keep itself turning over. If all 8 passed the buzz test then the wiring is not as likely but you might have bad injector o-rings or some HPOP problem.
