you ever noticed the sticker on the engine with the big warning that says not to crack the lines open?....sure cracking lines on the older systems is common practice but not on common rail engines...i'm not sayin that it wouldnt work i'm just sayin that it is dangerous to the person not to the engine and that there are better ways to do it

and the problem pipeliner is having isnt a cylinder missfire so it will wouldnt show the problem, only way to find it without just taking the injectors out and flow testing them is to do a return flow test then start blocking off lines at the rail one at a time and repeat the test that will show you if you have a single injector that is causing the high return and will let you know the condition of all of the injectors before you pull them out
