injector line cracked !!!!!!

Default injector line cracked !!!!!!

ok guys i need some help so im driving to work this morning and smell fuel ...... pull over raise the hood and number 5 injector line is cracked and spraying fuel everywhere ... then got to looking and the little blue block under is loose and rattling around as well please help on why this may have happen and the cheapest place to get a new line thanks fat boy

are u sure its the #5 and not #4? #4 in known for cracking. if the clamp is loose, that woulda let the line vibrate and cause it to break also.

the #1 and #6 injectors lines come out at the ends of the fuel rail, #2,3,4,5 all come out of the side of the fuel rail. first time i messed with one i thought #5 was #6 and thought #6 was a return. not saying u dont know what ur doing, but just making sure

if it is a #4 i have 2 of them new that i keep for spares for our trucks

well got it all apart and its #5 the keeper came loose and let it break i assume dunno capped it of for now and got her home new one will be here wed from the dodge house thanks guys

I took those keepers all apart and reassembled them with loctitie on all the bolts. Stuff like that tends to self-disassemble with the vibration these things produce. Rail pressure levels make the injector lines a weak link under those conditions. There's been rumors that certain ones were suspect or whatever, but it's really random.

yes thats what i think im goin to do when the new one gets here tommrow loctite may be my freind in this case ....... once again thats men for all ur help
