warm starting problem
the truck will start first thing in the morning, however after you drive it for maybe 30 mins and get the temps up, anytime you turn the truck off it is taking forever to get the truck to start. It is acting like it is wanting to start but just will not run. It is turning over fine so I dont think it is the starter but I just cannot get it to run. After it is finally started it runs fine. Any suggestions for me? thanks

From my experience, hard starts on a 3rd gen have been a sign of bad injectors. However, some more experienced members may chime in and prove me wrong...
It's been a while since I've had to deal with one...
Have you checked for codes?

i have not checked the codes, would I have to take to a dealer for that? also, if it is the injectors, could I just pour some injector cleaner into the fuel tank to clean the injectors?

To check the codes on your odometer window, you can with the truck off, turn the key to run, then off, then run then off then run again and leave it there. Any codes present will be displayed in the odometer window. They are not complete by any means, but it's a starting point. As for the injectors, it's usually a solenoid issue or worse. Injector cleaner probably won't help, although running it hard with a good load can sometimes clean them up a bit.
