transmission problem

transmission problem
alright guys my buddy has a 95 suburban and it is having tranny problems. when you take off in any gear on the selector, it wont shift out out first. the only way to get it out of first is to rev it really hard till it tachs out, then instantly let off, and itll shift. once it comes out of first gear, it shifts through all the other gears perfect. anyone got any thoughts on what could cause this?

im wondering if the tps is bad. i know the CEL is on. ill run the codes in the mornin and update yall. thanks for the help!
