Hey guys. I found a smoked fused link. I reckon thats what the problem is. It looks like it's gonna suck to replace. It's in a cluster of wires and I think I have to replace the whole works. Like I said, I hate wires. Thanks guys.

Yeah I wish I would have seen this before. The fused links in that bundle are crap. You can always just wire in some fuses and cerkit breakers instead of the fusable links.

Every time I run into a fried fused link, I cut it off and hard wire it.

What's up. I cut open the rubber boot that all the fused links come out enough to expose the wire and hard wired that baby, hooked up the negative to the batery, turned the key and oh what a sweet sound. I've never smoked crack, but I have inhaled diesel exhaust. I think they are probably right up there together on the addictive chart. I love this website. Thanks eveyone. You all rule! - Ryan

There is a reason that link failed. Remember to put a fuse or breaker in it's place or you may fry your truck one day.
