1997 powerstroke problem from superchip
I have a 1997 powerstroke f-250 with an auto tranny. today i hooked a friends superchip up to it. i followed all the procedures and did them correctly. now the truck will not drive. it starts and runs fine with a little roughness in the idle at first but smooths out shortly after. i need help badly. dont want to send it to the Ford House.
first thing the programmer said when we plugged it in was "Returning to STOCK". i found that quite odd since the truck has never been chipped or flashed or anything of that sort. the truck is completely stock, any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you sure the truck has never been programmed? Sounds like the computer might need updating. I believe it can only be done through ford. Hook thge prgrammer back up and make sure the stock programming is installed. Have a good friend that knows a lot about fords and superchips.
