Question stalled 7.3

help,last nite i got 16 gallons diesel at my regular station,and 15 minutes later the truck sputted to a halt now it will not start,i checked the fuel filter and it had this brown mud like stuff in it.what happened and how do i fix this,hurry,dead truck in driveway,jackal777

Moving this for more exposure.

I dont know about Fords but it sounds like you may have got some bad fuel...have you changed the fuel filter? How often do you change your fuel filter?

If your lucky, all it did was plug the fuel filter and didn't make it to the injector pump and injectors. I'd go back to the station and collect a sample to see if it was indeed the fuel. You can try and change the filter, but if it plugs again, you know it's the fuel that you got.

Yeah, make sure you keep your receipt. If you need repairs the fuel company must pay for them.

I know I have got some bad fuel because the refueling truck had just been at the station and had stured up all the sediment in there holding tanks but thats too bad it really stinks
