X2. There are a lot of states cracking down for different reasons. They all amount to BS.

New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut are all implementing this.

The officer dropped me of today the rule book. I will have some reading to do, about 3900 pages.

My smoke is controllable, when I want it to be that is. If I bring my rig up to say 3k free reving it easily it will not smoke at all, but if I hit it and back off it will smoke like a freight train. Heck the other day I think I might have caused a slow down of traffic on 95 due to my smoke when I was playing with a Duramax. I have left the tolls a few times and romped on it and have never had the transportation authority (who is sitting there watching the tolls) pull me over, had them shake their head a few times though.

Any vehicle that smokes to much can be ticketed. It is nothing new. As for the new restrictions, they gear more towards the newer vehicles 2008+ (post Jan08) with new EPA standards.

This does not mean they won't look a little harder at vehicles that they feel are smoking way to much for what they call "on road use".

Still I rather see a vehicle smoke cause of HP vs. a worn out old beater that nearly chokes me to death.

Peace
