She Gave Up The Ghost
Haha, yeah that's gonna happen... Not in this lifetime though.
Ok, I hate these stories. Makes me cringe what kind of tunes are doing this to the pistons. I am running #3 drive with my Juice w/attitude I thought I would never have any issues. Will I ??
So I bought this truck hoping to drive it 300k miles am I stupid for thinking this? I was talked into getting it by some friends telling me they would last. I love the trucks towing capabilities but should I be running a tune? I do not want to upgrade anything else. I have no Cat and no muffler running a edge juice w/attitude on #3. I run on level 1 when towing. I am a conservative driver with the 3 times a week peddle to the floor. Is it going to last??

some of the stock lbz's have been cracking pistons. some think its a quality control issue with the pistons when they were built.
the rods on the lbz motor are very strong and the motor will hold well over 600hp but piston failures has been a problem. but for lb7 and lly motors the weak link so far has been the rods
So do all LBZ 06 models have the same pistons or was there a cut of as to when they were improved? And if they are all the same lets say you have 100 trucks how many of them are going to have the problem?

Thanks
