Man that sucks I know if that would have happened to (actually it did) there would be a major *** kickin in order and my brother would be paying the full repair of my pickup.... I was lettin my brother borrow my old 06 DMAX and he went out muddin with his buddies that all own little Yotas and he went somewhere he shouldnt have gone and the truck got stuck bad. Yea so he put it in four dig and hammered it and broke the right front half shaft and then failed to tell me when i came up to jerk him out. Yea I was a little beyond pissed. Same thing happened about a week ago while i was on vaca in Florida my brother drove my ranch truck (2001 cummins 6spd man) and toasted the tranny "forgot" to tell me so now I'm out a ranch truck til he pays to fix it and it doesnt look like he will anytime soon. Hope everything works out ok for ya sounds like you had a pretty killer truck.

I don't know what else it would be, the crankcase is pressurized, so it is definitely bypassing the combustion chamber. My mechaninc comes back off of sick leave this wednesday and as soon as he finishes up the backlog, I will have him pull the motor and see what the damage is.

Me too, I ran the PPE 160 tune for about a year before this and only 4k on the race tune. Only 10 or so trips down the 1320...

Possibly a cold start and he hammered on it.

The lift pump comes on with the key, and in talking to Guy at SoCal diesel it probably was hot rodded and turned off w/o any cool down time. The squirters on the Dmax shut off at below 20 psi and at idle, the oil psi is just below that.

That blows, but you got to pay to play. Thats the one good thing about EFI not releasing the stand alone tuning yet. That has kept me from getting it and kept me from blowing something up.

# 4 Piston, not cracked but hole the size of a pea blown through it and left a nice spot on the cylinder wall. It should be able to be honed out, or will get it bored .020 or .030 over and put new better slugs in it.
