My truck seems to jump every time i shift into it. is that normal? I noticed that my buddies 06 5.3 gaser jumps also. so should i just shrug it off, or should i get it worked on? Does my transfer case just need an oil change? or maybe my differencials need the fluid changed?

Yep, normal. The best thing to do is to be in neutral with your foot off the brake when pushing the button.
