I have a 1996 k1500 6.5 turbo diesel.. I was driving home in heavy snow truck was running and shifting fine! I stopped locked it in 4 high everything was good all of a sudden the 4 wheel drive light went off I put it back in neutral than shifted the 4 wheel back to neutral now the truck won't do anything in two wheel drive but if I lock it back it to 4 wheel drive it drives right away and I checked the fuses and the 4wheel was blown tried putting another in and it blows right away any help would be extremely helpful! Is it a push button transfer case or manual shift?

If it is driving in 4x4 but the fuse is blown out that would rule out a transmission or rear end issue. So that leaves the transfer case.

It's a long shot but check the transfer case linkage and adjustment.

Not sure why it would blow fuses. That usually happens when the actuator on the front end goes bad.
