I have a 2002 3500 ram dually cab and chassis with the straight front axle. I'm wanting to get a 4x4 front end to put under it, which should be direct bolt on, being as my front end has the same mounting points as the dana 60. It has a nv5600 six speed, but does anyone know which transfer case I need?

 

Are you 2wd right now? you will also need a 4wd transmission to go with the tcase. unless you set it up as a divorced tcase. Even though I have seen this conversion time and time again on TV, I think without the massive budgets that it will be cheaper and easier to find a 4wd truck.

 

Yes, I am currently 2 wheel drive. The front end should be direct bolt in, but would I have to completely change transmissions, or just the tail housing and mate the transfer case?
