Question COMPONENT QUESTION?

Ok so i have what i think is a trans fluid leak on the driver side wheel well. i know the brake fluid resivor sits on top of the component leaking, and i know i probably need a gasket or seal to fix it. only prob i have run into is i do know what the component is called so i can order a seal/gasket to fix it. like i said i know my brake fluid res sits right on top of it, its a long almost cylinder shaped part with 4 or 5 lines coming off of it and runing every which way. i want to say its trans fluid coming from it, cause the fluid is red and smells like trans fluid, but heck i dont know what kind of brake fluid was put in it last so it could very well be that. anyone know what this part is called and if it is common for it to leak? its leaking from the center of the part. where it looks like it is bolted together, so its a 2 piece part.

I think your talking about power steering fluid. It goes from the power steering pump to the brake booster on the brake master cylinder. That seems to be a common problem.
