Really ltr450?? So Semi's, tractors, generators, cars, boats and all other non-Cummins trucks........they all suck because they don't have an I-6??? Wow. Quit talking out of your *** dude. There are more to diesels than the one under your hood.

I don't have any problems overheating either. I just installed the turbo inlet mouthpiece off of the Kodiak, though. I think that really helped the EGTs.

Default Need help

I am sorry for taking up your time but I am at my wits end. My handicaped father has a 2004 Chevy with a duramax in it. As he has come to live with us I am driving his truck pulling a trailer from CA to Or and back. Even if I leave at 3:00am the truck overheats on the grades. I am not pulling a heavy load even. Can any one tell me what to do to correct this problem? (In simple terms). Is there something that Chevy is doing about the problem? From what I am reading Chevy is not taking responsibility for this problem, is this really the case? I live in the central coast of CA so this is only a problem if we are towing, but it is really a problem when it happens. Thank you for your time Kam

I haven't had the overheating problem. But I did the LBZ MP and EGR blocker plate not long after getting the truck. No problems.

There is another solution for the LLY overheating issue. A duramax owner (engineer837)on another forum designed a V2 clone. The entire project can be completed in a couple of hours once you have all the parts. Ron Davis racing (Arizona) makes the radiator. I decided on this route and completed the project last month. Not only is this option less than TxChristoper was selling, you can purchase all the products yourself, so there is no worry about sending $1,200 dollars and never receiving the product.

I had good results as well with the LBZ MP, The V2 clone AUX radiator was just icing on the cake, with my BD exhaust manifold (Drivers Side) MBRP downpipe with a 4" exhaust and gutted kitty I can tow the limits without worry.
