Power Steering Leak

Using ATF isnt "snake oil". ATF and power steering fluid are identical in base properties. Swelling polymers with fluid is a technology that has been around for many years and we use it extensively in oil/gas wells as well as a lot of o-rings you see are designed to do the same. I'm not trying to discourage you from getting a new hose John. Just wanted you to understand that swelling polymers is not a "fix it in a can" or "snake oil", its a normal chemical and polymer reaction that doesnt hurt anything. It makes my company over $300M a year. Anywho, if the hoses are that cheap and easy to change on these newer trucks then by all means get a new hose.

I understand what you are telling me Tracy, And it makes sense.
I am goint to try the synthetic ATF for a week. If that does not work, Then you and Russel can change out my hose while I drink a cold one!

Cool. Thanks Russell. I'm going to try Tracy's way first and see what happens. Then we (You, myself, and Tracy)can replace the leaky hose.
Any Bets?
Maybe it could be on the casino section!
