doesnt the lly or lbz turn some crazy rpm's? form the factory? i thought they redlined at like 4500 or 5000 for some reason. if they do just buy that year truck then you wont have to worry about it.

Theoretically they can rev that high, but the redline is set to 3400 on all Duramax's AFAIK.
